We spoke about A.C.T.S 3, we read it again this time we took the verse that Peter walks by the crippled man and we apply what Lucas Gonzales, preached at Reach Church on Sunday. Pastor Lucas revealed to us a truth that Jesus walked passed the same crippled man several times while he walked on the earth and he was never led to heal the crippled man, now fast forward to chapter 3 of Acts and we see peter healing him. The people are shocked and surprised and Peter reveals that he restored the man's ability to walk through the holy spirit that Jesus left for us! We must ask ourselves, who do we pass by everyday that God may be calling us to heal? Let me make it less intimidating for you who do we encounter in our day that needs to hear a language of love that we can whisper? Well then what are you waiting for ??
A note??
We were given encouragement to do what we did next from a book titled "The Pursuit of God" written
by A.W.Tozer. Mr Tozer has a keen way of delivering a black and white message calling out the fluff in our human nature and errors. He writes " The tragic results of this spirit are all about us: shallow lives, hollow religious philosophies, the preponderance of the element of fun in the gospel meetings, the glorification of men, trust in religious externalities, quasi-religious fellowships, salesmanship methods, the mistaking of dynamic personality for the power of the spirit. These and such as these are symptoms of an evil disease, a deep and serious malady of the soul."
I don't know about you but I can agree with part, most, maybe even all of the piece from Tozer's book and I want to do everything on my end to cure that "evil disease" I want depth in every area of my life but especially my relationship with the Holy Spirit. We are not here to ponder the element of fun in our meetings but to create it and if that means that we have to make it about everyone else but ourselves... let's do it!!!!!
We wrote notes given to us through prayer and meditating on God's word during the first hour of our meeting. Skimming through our bibles and digging up words being stirred in our spirits we reached in to pour our gifts out and put them to the test. We delivered them to the cars that occupied the shopping center parking lot on 1431 and I-35 it was a blast! It was the holy spirits time to shine. He had pieced together a 4 piece puzzle hungry to pour out his message and set it loose in the Round Rock community! The Holy Spirit is full of ideas and we can't wait for the next one! We weren't only hungry for the Holy Spirits open field but our bellies were hungry too so Mighty Fine burgers was how we celebrated the excitement that was filling up our smiles. Don't believe that there isn't fun to be had in your life pursing Jesus... A.C.T.S is proof that there is! Are you ready to embark on it?
