The Ronald McDonald house was a rewarding & incredible opportunity to reach ATX. We had the privilege of praying with a total sweetheart named Hannah. Please partner with us in praying for Hannah as she recovers from a surgery in which the doctors removed hip bone to build the bone that was missing in her mouth causing her to have an opening from the inside of her mouth up through the nose. Her mother and grandmother were gracious enough to allow us the opportunity to hold hands as we came together in unity, agreeing the the doctors would work swiftly, and recovery would be quick. The coolest thing about the Ronald McDonald house was their accommodations for these families in need. We will defiantly be donating more time there and I urge you to make time to join us to witness the greatness we were able to witness. They provide top notch accommodations for these families, the stove brought us women so much joy haha! We all claimed to be full fledge chefs if we could ever have stoves like that in our homes haha I am smiling just thinking about our giddiness over the simple things like that sink and the staff there was so grateful and gracious. It was totally cool and I seriously can't wait to get back in their kitchen and bless them again!I am so grateful for each one of you, Thank you for your help at this event.
Our meeting was first class! I can't wait for you all to see this place(: We will have our next meeting on April 20 at 7:30 in the same facility. This summer is going to be packed with fun! I simply can't wait. I am going to link the calendar at the bottom of this blog. At the meeting we also agreed upon signing up for Meetup.com, which is a website designed to bring community together through common interests. Because we are a community outreach group we all felt like this would be the ideal place to spread the news that we are moving and grooving on the streets of ATX! It seems the decision to proceed with Meetup.com was a great one because we have already gained 18 new members. Hopefully these members will be active ones and we will be able to reach more people in the ATX community. On that note, make sure you tell your friends and family about A.C.T.S we simply cannot do what we do without the support of the people in the community who have the resources to do so.
This team, A.C.T.S is so dear to my heart I hope you all fell my passion for community and building small villages within it in order to support each other and bring life, hope, and love to those who have not been blessed to have the support that we do with our friendships, families, and possibly even churches. I REALLY would like to start doing more work in the industry of rescued victims of sex trafficked minors with you all. This is a REAL problem right here in the USA and it requires action on our part! It is scary, there are many different faces to the sex trafficking industry and the women and children who are trapped in it, but I believe with guidance from the Holy Spirit we can make a difference. I have reached out to a couple different non profits who focus on this line of work and I am hoping to be able to come alongside one of them and offer aid and action in anyway possible. The work that we do in this field will need to be without children due to the nature of it and I hope that will not detour some of you from jumping in. I am on the look out for a responsible care giver to supervise our children while we meet in order that we can serve the community alongside our significant others. I strongly believe that doing the work of love together can strengthen, grow, and empower relationships and families and I hope this community outreach team can give that back to you and your family in trade for your time, heart, and work that you give to Austin, Tx.
I think that is it for today! Thanks for reading and partnering with us.
xoxo
